Andy Lamb - PGA Advanced Professional
Andy Lamb is Head of Instruction with the Andy Lamb Golf Academy.
Andy started teaching golf in 1983 at Hankley Common Golf Club in Surrey, England. In June 2001 he decided to devote his full attention to teaching and he developed his own golf academy in Scotland. His golf academy is now based at the Elton Golf Range, Sandbach in Cheshire.
Andy's notable teaching achievements with golfers of all standards (beginners, club golfers, county, international and professional golfers see his testimonials page), his desire and determination to help golfers to achieve their goals together with his passion and experience in teaching golf has recently led to Andy being awarded Advanced Professional status from the PGA.
Andy was part of the Titleist team of teaching professionals at the Benson and Hedges International Open at the Oxfordshire 1996-1999. He has coached at the Royal and Ancient Junior Open tent at the Open Championship in years 2002, 2005 and 2010. He also coached at the PGA / Bryant Homes road show at the the Gyle Centre in Edinburgh in 2003 and 2004.
Andy has attended many further development seminars from the PGA over the years to gain more knowledge in area such as sports science and golf psychology.
Andy has contributed instructional articles to Today's Golfer and Lady Golfer magazines and is currently featured in National Club Golfer magazine. He has also had instructional features in the Dundee Evening Telegraph, the Blairgowrie Advertiser, the Sunday Post and is currently featured weekly in The Crewe Chronicle offering advice with easy to use drills, faults and fixes and ways to play certain shots.
Andy firmly believes in the importance of using drills to transfer feelings quickly and easily into the pupil's muscles and therefore make it easier for the pupil to understand what movements are required of him to improve his/her golf swing.
