Left arm connection drill

Step 1

Set up with your right hand on your left elbow with the upper part of your left arm against your chest.

Step 2

Take a small backswing keeping your left upper arm against your chest.

Step 3

Now move back to impact feeling the left arm and chest still linked.

Step 4

Turning through impact with your left arm and chest still connected, your left elbow should fold and the clubhead should be released.

Step 5

Putting these same feelings into a half swing will see the clubhead open and the wrists set in the backswing.

Step 6

Now see the clubhead square and close and the wrists re-hinge. This will create more on line shots.
